Say Hello to our brand new Carpet Bag! While everyone is still going crazy for vintage in the style stakes, we decided it was time to bring you a vintage inspired tote to compliment your very own vintage style.
As you know, I design and draw up most of the Designed 4 You bag patterns myself, however, earlier this year I came across this fantastic pattern from Sewing Patterns by Mrs. H. I simply had to make it!! The pattern was not for general release earlier in the year, so I joined a Bag Makers group on Facebook (yes there are more of us!), just to get a glimpse at this pattern!! And needless to say I was not disappointed.
This bag pattern comes in 2 sizes, a large and standard size. The large bag is proving very popular already and we’ve only shown it on our Facebook page so far!! The large is for those who prefer a larger handbag to carry a laptop/tablet etc. I think the large would also work well as an overnight bag (if you can travel light that is!) The standard size is great for an everyday bag, when you don’t need to carry the kitchen sink with you
This new design works really well with our Vintage inspired print fabrics and our cotton velvet range. Mixed together with our faux leathers and you have yourself a really funky carpet bag which you’ll be dying to show off!
